Job Summary

  • In collaboration with appropriate interdisciplinary team members, is responsible for coordinating and clarifying patient-specific financial aspects of care. 
  • Will communicate with patients, families, the oncology care teams, and providers to assess care plans and corresponding coverage needs, beginning with the patient’s first visit to the clinic and continuing through and after diagnosis and treatment. 
  • Will work in a compassionate and tactful manner to help facilitate access to and provide continuity of care.
  • Will also work with other members of oncology teams, insurers, financial, and administrative personnel.

Education and/or Experience

  • Degree in social work, coding, or a healthcare-related field; or two years’ experience in healthcare, insurance, or billing required.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with variation; 80hrs/2wks
