ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Respect and implement all Standard Operating Procedures
- Implement Station Safety Action Plans following corporate safety audits.
- Conduct all tasks in accordance with written operation and safety procedures
- Make sure all staff is fully aware of their responsibilities and their role in the implementation of the safety policy.
- Ensure staff and management are properly trained according to the standards and legal requirements.
- Communicate appropriately to staff.
- Register any incident, accident, injury, as a safety report and send it to the Operation Manager and Corporate Safety.
- Investigate, and implement appropriate actions for every incident, and reported operational hazard.
- Take appropriate actions to rectify any risks to health and Safety.
- Provide all employees with personal protection tools and instruct them how to use them.
- Ensure quality control of all activities impacting daily operations and execute changes as required.
- Serve as a key internal contact to communicate the operation and effectiveness of the operation.
- Work to maximize on-time performance, proper staffing, training, and safety initiatives.
- Identify issues and engage in structured problem-solving, coaching, and counseling as needed.
- Supports the Station Manager in monitoring work areas and job functions to ensure a safe environment exists and safe work habits are used.
- Spend the majority of time in operation, interacting with employees and overseeing all aspects of cabin service as well as Lavatory service activity.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for AOA training
EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE
- 3 years or more leading/supervising Airport operation
- Previous Cabin airline experience is preferred
SKILL and/or ABILITIES
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish
- Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent skills with computers including Excel
- Ability to think strategically and have motivational skills to lead a team.
- Confidence, patience, and politeness, when dealing with difficult situations.
- Communication skills that allow you to inform, help, and advise customers clearly and effectively.
- Must be professional appearance and adhere to company grooming/uniform policy
- Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
