What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Administrator position at Avis Budget Group?
This Fleet Administrator role will support the ongoing effort to purchase and infleet new vehicles direct from local dealers as well as used vehicles from auctions and various other sources. Constant effective communications with the relevant players (the vehicle sellers, the city fleet managers, headquarters decision makers) will be an integral part of the job. Additionally, this role will support many of the goals of the department, including vehicle ordering, communicating fleet program parameters, data validations and report distributions.
What you’ll do:
- Manage email communications to city fleet managers relating to buy details and vehicle pick up information.
- Communicate wire payment details to vehicle sellers, including title assignment and mailing instructions.
- Extract daily buys and gate passes from Manheim and other seller portals.
- Query reports from in-house date base as required by manager.
- Perform ad hoc projects as the need presents itself
- Backup / cross train support for the Fleet ordering team, contributing to fleet stat data compilation, purchase order creation for dealer stock & used vehicle buys.
- Backup support / cross train for the Company Car & Employee Lease programs. Ensure all vehicles are properly secured, accounted for & tracked.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree – preferred but not required
- 2 years of business experience, working within the car rental or automotive industry would be a plus
Skills and abilities you should have:
- Effective communication skills, both oral & written
- Ability to analyze across multiple disciplines, simultaneously & effectively
- Ability to multi task and accomplish tasks with speed and accuracy
- Excel skills at an intermediate level
