This technical position will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing cyber security-focused technologies and services while working with other technical engineers and project team members to create a secure environment. The individual will accomplish these tasks through security focused projects and by reviewing, creating, and approving security standards and technical implementation plans / designs for non-security driven projects. The position will also participate in tier 2/3 security operations support, on-call rotation, and incident handling / remediation.  

• Ability & track record of getting projects completed with minimal supervision
• Understanding of Computer Security principles and applicability
• Expert level knowledge of one of the following: Linux OS distributions, Windows Server or Windows Workstation
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of a minimum of 3 of the 6 following areas:
  • Local area and Wide area networking, Network protocols, such as TCP/IP
  • Next Generation Firewalls
  • Network Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Web Application Firewalls
  • Log management & SIEM
  • SOAR Platforms
  • Endpoint Security Suites (e.g. Crowdstrike, Cortext XDR, Carbon Black, etc)
  • Endpoint Application Whitelisting Solutions (e.g. Tripwire, AirLock, etc.)
  • Industrial Control Systems Security Solutions (e.g. Dragos, Claroty, etc.)
  • Automation skills utilizing Powershell or Python

Security Engineer, Starting Salary Range: $90,542 - $104,576 Market Level Range: $90,542 - $132,645

Security Engineer Sr, Starting Salary Range: $103,016 - $119,241 Market Level Range: $103,016 - $151,691
