Summary of Position:
This role will have the opportunity to work closely both within the Certification team and cross- departmentally with other teams within AVIXA, as well as volunteers from around the world as we continue to grow and support our global industry certifications.
The Coordinator, Certification will provide customer service assistance for application processing and inquiries regarding candidate eligibility, testing, certification, and renewal, and serve as an internal expert in those areas for other teams. The Coordinator, Certification will also coordinate activities related to certificate processing and mailing, assist with the management of renewal programs, and assist with coordinating meeting needs and logistics for multiple volunteer committees.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous informed information in response to stakeholder’s calls, emails, and faxes.
- Process certification exam, renewal, and continuing education provider applications.
- Process and mail certificate packages and maintaining adequate inventory of certification materials.
- Assist with maintaining online listing/calendar of renewal programs.
- Coordinate meeting needs and logistics for multiple certification volunteer committees as assigned.
- Maintain periodic schedule of review of the AVIXA certification website.
- Pull database reports and maintain records as required.
- Assist with auditing of applications & other accreditation program requirements.
- Cross-train with other certification staff.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic and hard copy records as assigned
- Assist in data entry as required.

- Assist with exploration of additional certification products and services
- Effectively assist with program growth needs

Education:
- Associate’s degree, additional business, or college level degree preferred. Will consider equivalent work experience.
Experience Level:
- Minimum of 1 year responsible office experience preferably including certification programs
Technical Skills:
- Computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Comfortable working with members, volunteers, and remote employees via electronic means such as Teams, Zoom, and email
Other Skills:
- Excellent customer service experience and ability to deal with difficult people
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to maintain a consistent, high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a team and cross-train
- Proficiency in multiple languages would be a plus
Travel Demands:
- Potential travel requirements not anticipated to exceed 10%
