Our team is searching for a Mechanical Assembler who will be responsible for the manufacture of parts and detail components to create new products according to client specifications. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Along with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Aerospace experience is a plus!

The target hourly/salary range for this role is $22/hr. - $27/hr., depending on experience.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Demonstrate understanding of the AvtechTyee production process, including proper Work Order traveler procedures, escalation measures, self and successive quality checks, applicable standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Demonstrate understanding of the assembly process, including the use of correct tooling, greases, and additional materials to assemble components and adjust them to the required drawing dimension specifications.
- Responsible for verifying completed work according to traveler, drawings, and applicable specifications.
- Potential equipment/processes for this position include: Bridgeports for Milling operations, Cadmium plating, Bushing Installation, Staking operations, Honing operations, and others.
- Able to produce satisfactory rework of product according to instructions and specifications.
- Willingness to assist in any given area within the shop as needed.
- Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
- Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
- Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with basic mechanical assembly
- Experience with EZ-Trak lathes, Bridgeport mills, Multi-press, Sunnen Hone
This experience is a plus!:
- Possess basic math and geometric dimensioning and tolerance blueprint reading skills necessary to perform machining process.
- Basic machining skills required.
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision; ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong focus on customer service
