Description: AWARE is preparing to launch a new service and programming focused on expanding preventative and mental health services for youth and families. The pandemic wreaked havoc on health and wellness in families and access to services across Montana. Issues of significant concern include the increased incidence of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and substance use. AWARE is excited to re-launch services into homes as the project will springboard clinical services and support into communities recovering from the pandemic fueled losses.
As a FACT Team Child & Family Specialist, you will provide family training and direct care services in a natural environment to assist children and their families in improving social, educational, vocational, recreational, and other skills - as requested or needed -utilizing AWARE's Wraparound philosophy. Caseload and/or billing expectations and requirements must be met on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
The Child and Family Specialist will work closely with AWARE’s Clinical Professionals in providing services as assigned and developed through prescribed curriculum lesson plans; spends time with client and family as assigned and/or as identified on the treatment plan; assesses client, family, and environments; utilizing assessments tools, coordinates and conducts the team process to develop a comprehensive Individualized Treatment Plan, monitors this plan as required by established rules, and writes prescriptive programs to increase, or maintain skills while focusing on family engagement.
Salary DOE/ DOQ - $1000 Sign On Bonus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*:
A thorough understanding of human services, resources, and tools. Must have the ability to assess clients (and families) from a strengths model perspective, along with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to develop a theoretical perspective, in addition to the ability to work with a variety of people. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.
Education/Experience:
A BS/BA Degree in a Human Services Related Field is preferred; an equivalency can be used based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.
