Primary Responsibilities

To oversee the daily, monthly, quarterly and year end accounting for all entities under the North America Region of Axalta, primarily Axalta Coating Systems, LLC. The position will also be responsible for overall management of fluctuation analyses performed on a quarterly basis, manage deliverables to corporate for quarterly and annual SEC reporting purposes, reviewing accuracy of all cost centers within North America and Corporate regions, identification, timely reporting and accuracy of leases for accounting purposes.

The position will report to the North America Controller and will interface with all levels and functions of the organization.  This position will be based in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage monthly reviews with businesses and functions over the North America and Corporate cost centers and make necessary month end entries to ensure material accuracy.
• Coordinate and monitor prepaid asset accounting and certain accrued liabilities managed by the shared service center and other functions.
• Identify new and amended lease agreements for accurate and timely accounting.
• Support internal control environment to satisfy external and internal requirements, specific to these areas
• Coordinate and manage certain manual process/models, including the State Hubco accounting model to assist with our overall tax strategy
• Prepare supporting schedules for auditors as requested
• Financial analysis, special projects, financial standards and policy updates, as requested

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related area
• At least 5 years experience with 2 years in corporate accounting experience preferred
• Experience in consolidation accounting or external reporting preferred
• CPA preferred
• Strong technical accounting experience, including experience with the coordination of multi-location reporting, segment reporting, foreign exchange translation, accounting for income taxes and pensions, helpful
• Excellent Excel and ERP system skills, such as Oracle, SAP (preferred), etc
• Strong understanding of Financial Statements and SEC reporting
• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines
• Experience with process/controls documentation required
• Experience coaching direct reports
