Overview
Axient is seeking a Junior Contracts Administrator to support our customer in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for the preparation and administration of contracts. Review all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of customer specifications and adherence to company policy. Candidate will have considerable interaction with direct supervisor for guidance and mentorship.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Participate in the bid and proposal process to ensure proposals conform to company policy and customer solicitation requirements.
Identify contract issues and respond to a variety of inquiries.
Participate in negotiating and modifying contracts.
Review terms and conditions of non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
May participate in cost and pricing reviews with program management and proposal center.
Adapt to regulatory changes and assess their impact on contracts.
Manage US Government contracts, primarily where Axient is a subcontractor; contract types include but are not limited to CPFF, CPAF,CPIF, Cost Reimbursable, T&M and FFP.
Maintain, analyze, update, and develop various electronic records.
Represent the organization as the primary administrative contact on assigned contracts.
Ensure all contractual policies & procedures are followed and approvals obtained from required line management personnel.
With supervisor's support, provide guidance to professional or technical staff on contract matters.
Participate in training activities and general data gathering assignments in order to gain contract administration knowledge.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year hands-on service-oriented contract administration experience.
Must have a general understanding of government cost principles along with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and FAR supplements including NFS and DFARS.
Working experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is desired.
Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and MS SharePoint is desired.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment.
Ability to perform tasks successfully under short timelines and with supervisor's guidance manage shifting work priorities.
Responsiveness, flexibility, organization, and attention to detail are a must.
Must be a highly motivated self-starter.
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assimilate, analyze, document, and organize contract requirements and ensure contract and procedural compliance.
Ability to assist technical personnel with contractual, administrative, and financial aspects of managing government contracts.
