Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Daily Activities:
- Manage multiple factoring and ABL client relationships ranging in size from start-ups and small ticket entities to larger accounts.
- Interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner regarding daily funding requirements or other needs.
- Maintain transparent communication and sound customer service levels both internally and externally. Ensure team approach internally.
- Work with Client Account Representatives and Operations Support on processing funding requests and reviewing backup documentation for fundings.
- Review and approve client funding requests, including managing reserves.
- Analyze collateral (accounts receivable performance, aging distribution, dilution, turnover, debtor composition and concentrations).
- Manage Allied exposure including risk assessment based on collateral and financial performance, aging invoices, etc.
- Review notification letters for client accounts, including ensuring monies sent by customers (debtors) is directed to Allied or Allied lockbox/bank account.
- Ensure notification protocols are upheld and that all debtors have been notified properly.
Monthly Activities:
- Ensure receipt, review and reporting of client compliance items, i.e., financials, payables, payroll taxes, etc.
- Review financials on largest accounts and monitor and discuss trends.
- Review trend performance on assigned portfolio.
- Oversee month end charges and fee statements and out of pocket expenses on all accounts at Allied to ensure properly charged and reported.
- Interact with field examination parties, as applicable.
Supervision of Personnel:
- None
Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment. Minimal physical effort required, normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday and work will mainly be performed at the assigned location; occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Flexibility with work location and hours may be granted if circumstances permit.
Travel:
- Up to 15% travel to client locations
Credit Authority:
- Client Funding and Overadvance approval authority will vary with experience.
Monthly Activities:
- Ensure receipt of and review client compliance items.
- Pull and save reports for audits or annual reviews or other committee presentations, as needed.
- Review financial and collateral trend performance on assigned portfolio.
- Interact with field examination or third parties, and schedule audits as needed
Secondary or Backup Responsibilities (as needed):
- Provide backup support for AEs, CARs, Legal and Operations, as needed.
- Prepare welcome packages for new clients
- Help with new client fundings for the first funding including client set up and debtor uploads
- Identify and work through potential mini-core operating system errors, issues, or enhancements.
- Identify methods of improvement in operations, i.e., fundings, debtor credit, collections, etc.
- Set up repetitive wires for clients and wire funds
Qualifications Summary:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- Portfolio Manager - Three to Five years of factoring, asset based lending or commercial & industrial banking experience.
- Senior Portfolio Manager - Five or more years of factoring, asset based lending or commercial & industrial banking experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, Proficiency in factoring and/or AB software is a plus.

The approximate base salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000, commensurate with experience.
