Position Description:

Axiom has a job opening for a top-flight Business Development Manager for the Pacific Northwest area. Axiom provides sophisticated electronic manufacturing services to customers who demand high reliability. The ideal candidate will need to be a senior level individual versed in selling value-based electronic manufacturing services solutions in major accounts. You will have superior communication skills, verbal and written; strong leadership and relationship building skills; as well as a successful track record of driving broad, complex sales opportunities and campaigns. You will have a history of creating and building a pipeline of business (existing and new) sufficient to satisfy the growth aspirations of the business.

Position Requirements:

You will be expected to develop and execute an account plan that will result in increased market share and revenues. You will grow the current customer base while consistently mining new prospects and you will convert these prospects into valued customers. This position requires an individual who has a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; and can make productive use of time. Inherent technical skills and ability, good organizational skills, superior attention to detail and excellent communication/people skills are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for creation of territory specific account plans and execution plus related sales revenues.
  • Negotiate customer contracts and statements of work for items that affect assembly and materials pricing..
  • Being responsible for development of the Axiom/customer relationship.
  • Contribute to the creation of promotional and technical materials such as: sales literature, presentations and newsletters etc.
  • Consistently cold call prospects gleaned from industry conferences/meetings, publications, marketing leads and personal contacts.
  • Travel 20 - 30% to customers primarily located across the United States with limited travel to Canada.
  • Create/update weekly and monthly reports and win/loss analysis.
  • Regular updates of the CMS and sales reporting systems are required.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have all of the following qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 8 - 10 years in commercial and/or military electronics or manufacturing services sales preferred with a minimum of 5 years contract manufacturing.
  • Experience interfacing with electronic product development and/or manufacturing engineers and electronic components, assemblies and services procurement agents.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent -electronics engineering degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing technologies and challenges preferred.
  • High degree of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CMS tools (equivalent to Salesforce or SugarCRM).
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of pricing and proposal models.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and customer needs.
  • Travel 20 - 30% monthly is required to customers located primarily in the US with occasional travel elsewhere.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident Status.
