JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, helps organize, coordinate and administer Human Resources projects and processes as directed. This role will support the human resources organization to fulfill a variety of necessary human resources responsibilities company-wide or specific district locations. These responsibilities may include supporting operations on employee relations issues, providing company information to employees, as well as supporting talent acquisition with the recruiting and hiring processes by coordinating applicants, interviews, onboarding and training and maintaining the accuracy of data in the company HRIS (human resource information system) software; therefore, strong computer, organizational and detail-oriented skills are a must.
Success in this role will have knowledge and demonstrated work experience in human resources responsibilities, administration of company policies and procedures, recruitment and new hire processes and employee relations and be highly organized, detail oriented and most importantly foster positive employer brand and a positive work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Under the lead of the HR Director, be a source of human resources support with employee relations; provide information for employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, payroll.
- Assist and support the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager on recruitment and hiring processes and other development assignments as needed.
- May assist with payroll and employee HRIS information.
- Foster positive employee relations and be on point when employee issues surface and are brought to attention of the HR department.
- Assist with employee termination procedures including communicating any details to appropriate personnel.
- Uphold confidentiality of all employee records or information related to employees.
- Good understanding of current federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Support special projects the HR Director and HR management may need assistance with.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent preferred; or combination of college education and proven human resources work experience in lieu of degree; professional human resources certification is preferred, such as PHR, SHRM-CP.
- Minimum three (3) years of basic HR core competency work knowledge and experience.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including experience with HRIS, and ATS database systems; Kronos software preferred/plus.
- Strong communication skills and attentive listener, verbal and written
- Bilingual - Spanish is required
- Experienced collaborator and working member within a HR team.
