Position Summary: The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Their duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding/offboarding processes for company employees. The Generalist screens recruits, interviews, and places workers. The Generalist trains, on-boards and helps guide new employees through the complicated process of benefits and compensation. The Generalist represents both the employee and the organization and handles employee relations. Human Resources Generalists ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for HR.
Our ideal candidate for our Human Resources Generalist position will have their high school degree, a bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration is preferred; 3 years as a HR Generalist is required, 5 years as a HR Generalist is preferred. Certification, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is also preferred.
Salary: Starting pay is $60,320.00 (Base rate $55,120.00 Locale $5,200.00) - $71,094.40, annually and considers preferred experience.

Physical demands: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. AHS may make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Additional eligibility requirements: Annual Flu immunization, CPI Training, within 90 days of hire.
