What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deposit System and Product Specialist position at Axos Bank?
- Maintain core deposit system parameters. Responsible for developing deposit related processes/services
- Configure new and enhance existing consumer/ business parameters, and fee schedules. Evaluate parameters, implementing regulatory and system changes as required in production, UAT and the test environment
- Monitor deposit systems services for enhancements and work directly with the core programmers to developing and implementing customer work request related to deposit applications
- Communicating regulatory standards and operational requirements, testing for efficiencies, accuracy of desired results and implementing
- Methodically examine new deposit product and/or deposit rate request prior to implementation
- Assist with planning, testing and verifying bank acquisition data for conversions as related to the core deposit system
- Lead various projects as assigned
- Manage the unclaimed property review and file submission to third party for processing. Work with analyst to validate data accuracy and revision of state laws. Submit files in a timely manner for process and due diligence based on laws established by each state. Reconcile each remittance to the settlement account and prepare wire transfer request for remittance
- Manage the FDIC Large Bank Deposit Insurance Determination Modernization program to conduct independent compliance testing for provisional holds. Configure system parameters in compliance with section 360.9 of the FDIC regulation governing large institutions. Provide documentation and validations as instructed by FDIC to confirm that the core system comply with section 360.9 of the FDIC regulation for large institutions
- Provide support for marketing team in development of rewards related promotions. Troubleshoot technical issue related to program anomalies. Perform necessary product due diligence testing and reward posting validation.
- Establish procedures for Deposit Operations system maintenance and deposit processes, update and review process maps and procedures. Recommend improvements to banking policies and procedures to increase efficiency
- Complete other task as needed or as assigned
- High school diploma
- 5 years' banking with core system parameters
- Ability to provide leadership, training, coaching and guidance to junior team members
- Knowledge of fundamental banking regulations
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) is essential
- Develop and oversee small to medium scale projects
- Ability to clearly identify core problems and work with stakeholders (including third party vendors) to get resolutions
- Analyze complex core and auxiliary systems issues and arrive at a resolution using the available resources
- Interpret and apply information from banking regulations and system documentation
- Some college or equivalent experience

A targeted annual base salary of USD $75,000 /Yr. - USD $95,000 /Yr., based on the experience, skills, and education/certification required for this position. Eligibility for a discretionary semi-annual incentive compensation plan, based upon performance, payable in cash and/or share grants (RSU’s) that may vest over time. The annual discretionary target bonus percentage is 20%.
