The Senior Buyer is a new position within Procurement/Purchasing that will manage and administer sourcing, procurement and negotiation of vendor contracts. The Buyer will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Purchasing, Aya's internal corporate departments, legal and information technology to procure goods and services, including, but not limited to, marketing services and solutions, payroll, compliance, consumables, office products, event services, facilities and maintenance, security services, software, hardware and cloud services and consulting. The Buyer will This role requires The Buyer will perform a range of duties, including negotiating contract terms and conditions, preparing financial models and business recommendations, reviewing and preparing contract reviews supporting Legal, creating and managing sourcing events and evaluating bids with business requestors.
The ideal candidate should enjoy drafting and editing contracts, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, be an outstanding communicator and possess in-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract agreements and legal terminology.

Responsibilities:
- Operate as a business partner to internal leadership to understand departmental needs.
- Assist the Sr. Manager of Purchasing, finance and senior leadership with establishing new processes and procedures for the organization's purchasing needs
- Develop criteria and processes for evaluation and selection of suppliers
- Evaluate, negotiate and facilitate the contract process covering a range of business-to-business transactions, including SaaS and other technology-based agreements, services agreements, building services agreements, leases and event agreements
- Develop working relationships with suppliers and internal product owners, while simultaneously managing aggressive deadlines and concurrent projects.
- Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts
- Communicate and present information to stakeholders regarding contracts
- Monitor contracts and expedite close-out, extension or renewal of contracts
- Track and manage SLAs
RequiredQualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- BA/BS degree in business administration, law or related field, preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement as a contract specialist
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead concurrent projects and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong process improvement skills to successfully develop a new process from the ground up
- Proficient in data analysis and cost modeling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Experience with document management or contract management systems a plus
- Proven ability to quickly build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $42.07 - $43.27 hourly, which equates to $87,500 - $90,000 annually.
The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager's discretion.
