Job Title: Production Specialist
Reports To : Production Supervisor
Department: Production
Summary: Manufactures and packages products by means of both reaction/distillation and compounding activities. Must utilize detailed procedures to meet outlined specifications by performing particular duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares and completes work orders assigned by Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader associated with both Compounding and Reaction/Distillation areas. Operates and/or monitors all equipment used in Production area. Filters, packages, and labels products to required specifications. Cleans and prepares all Production equipment for next scheduled job. Performs routine housekeeping functions in accordance with GMP. Adheres to established company policies and regulatory programs (i.e. ISO, HACCP, Safety, etc…). Ensures machines and equipment remains in proper working order and notifies Supervisor of malfunctions.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and ability to learn company’s inventory and manufacturing software.
