JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Branch Manager is responsible for organizing the safe and efficient operation of storage and dispatch of warehoused goods. Ensure a smooth and consistent operation so products are located and distributed in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer needs. All of which will require a hands-on approach to attain the Company’s objectives.
Essential Functions

- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures.
- Incorporates warehouse organization and safety procedures.
- Manages the receiving process on site. Verifies all merchandise deliveries according to Company
- standards.
- Recruits, trains and develops Warehouse Associates and Delivery Drivers; cross trains associates.
- Supervises effectiveness and productivity of employees through continual communication and
- performance management; reacts to personnel performance issues.
- Enforce and adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Minimal local market purchasing as needed.
- Communicates advanced shipping information to Purchasing Associates.
- Ensures the proper receiving procedures are used for control of shortages, return correction
- advice (RCA’s), and backorders.
- Ensures an orderly and neatly maintained stock and receiving area as well as the general
- maintenance of the warehouse.
- Plans and assists in re-profiling of warehouse based on product movement.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
- Adhere to all P&L practices/policies.
- Establish and monitor overall branch performance.
- Manages asset maintenance.
- Wear proper safety equipment.

- Ability to enter information and merchandise through computer system.
- Ability to communicate with associates and/or guests.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the warehouse, stock area, and office.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to manage warehouse.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to move and handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-75 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee warehouse operations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for 5-10 employees of the warehouse and is responsible for the performance management hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse
equipment to include, ladders, forklifts, dolly. Office equipment such as computers, phones,
photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machine will also be utilized. Frequent exposure to dust or airborne
particles.

must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and may vary regularly based on business needs.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years previous experience in a warehouse management position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associates Degree
