The B.E. Meyers & Co. Generalist - HRBP is responsible for responsible for administering and developing company policies relating to specific functions of human resources. Responsible for responding to employee relations issues and manages the B.E. Meyers recruiting function, new employee orientations, employee files, compliance, and employee events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Implements and monitors procedures to ensure company compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
- Works with employees and supervisors to address and resolve employee issues.
- Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
- Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
- Schedules candidates for additional interviews with managers in the organization.
- Ensures compliance with Affirmative Action Plan and federal contract hiring requirements.
- Writes and places job advertising in various media to include internet and print advertising recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
- Develops and coordinates internal job posting program and writes job postings.
- Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs.
- Develops and maintains contacts with external recruiters, employment agencies, schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
- Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants.
- Performs reference and background checks on applicants.
- Files and maintains employment and recruitment records for future references and prepares reports as requested.
- Responds to external inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Maintains employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information, as necessary.
- Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
- Administers the performance review program.
- Administers employee benefit programs.
- Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and setting up of employee events.
- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for safety committee.
- Is a representative on the Safety Committee.
- Oversees HR ISO documentation upkeep and retention.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be okay with guns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or Professional in Human Resources Certification and two years related experience or combination of education and experience.
- General knowledge of Human Resources management practices and employment law. and five or more years of work experience.
- Knowledge of Washington State employment law
- Experience setting priorities, managing project schedules, and giving performance feedback.
- Team player with excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
· Compensation range: $80,000 - $120,000 annual salary
