Currently serving over 250 hotels and 40,000 keys in NYC, Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, Denver, and San Francisco, Butler will expand to ten additional markets by the end of 2022.
About the role:
Butler Hospitality is looking to hire an Audit and Control Director to work closely with our Operations Excellence Team and Live Operations to lead audit planning and execution to support our restaurant hub food and safety operations, as well as established operations best practices.
Butler is planning for extensive expansion in the coming year requiring key people in the right place to support the growth for our continued success.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing the third party and internal auditors, as well as implementing internal inspections and controls on food safety, cleanliness, sanitation and overall Food and Beverage back and front of the house operations. This position will lead the company on best practices to adhere to compliance standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manage the audit lifecycle across all location hubs & allocate resources accordingly.
- Oversee the development and successful deployment of Purview Management Tool to create checklists based on operational needs and standards.
- Create tailored internal audit workflows.
- Establish automated alerts to create effective and timely responses.
- Design, build and configure reporting based on various stakeholder needs.
- Maintain record storage and accessibility.
- Streamline issue management and non-conformance workflows.
- Train and develop staff on best practices by implementing internal checks and balances based on staff execution of SOPs.
- Ensures HACCP standards are implemented and maintained.
- Evaluates employee performance through operational audits to improve and build reward and recognition systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in quickly identifying issues and recommending solutions to business problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate in both written and verbal to stakeholders and departments
- Creates and presents results in a clear and concise manner to create visibility into the progress of the department.
- Growth experience needed to be able to expand audit operations for extensive hub unit growth, maintaining the same standards and retaining full oversight.
- Forward thinking problem solver capable of anticipating and preemptively solving for future potential issues.
- Impeccable communication skills to align cross-functional teams.
- Excellent team building skills to foster productive feedback loops.
- Minimum of 5 years of hospitality experience managing end to end audit and control lifecycle.
- Food & Beverage Supervisory experience is required.
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing teams across multiple markets.
