Position Description:
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for assisting employees with technical issues or questions relating to computer hardware or software devices. The incumbent will be responsible for equipment installation, office moves, installing and configuring hardware operating systems and application software on new and existing PC, Mac, laptop and printers.
Essential Functions/Accountabilities:
-Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
-Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
-Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
-Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software
-Document internal procedures
-Assist with onboarding of new users
-Ensure each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment
-Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
-Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
-Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
-Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
-Maintains confidentiality of all information related to the organization.
-Works with Third-party consulting in driving completion of server infrastructure projects.
-Completes other projects and duties as assigned by leadership.
-Create Active directory user accounts
-Create 365 user accounts
Qualifications:
-A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field is preferred
-Industry-specific certification in relevant technology
-3-5 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a companies' products and services and network admin experience
-Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
-Comfortable working in and assisting others through common company software
-Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services
-Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS
-Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients
-Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $29.00 per hour
