Responsibilities
The Maintenance Planner will provide support for the maintenance department in regard to the planning of Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Calibration, and other work to maximize the availability of equipment and facility for Production Operations.
Your tasks
- Supports the maintenance department in coordinating both planned and unplanned work
- Perform administrative tasks within the CMMS to ensure accurate asset and work information
- Assists in keeping up with the monthly maintenance schedule
- Schedules and coordinates outside vendors for repairs and service evaluations
- Communicates well with all areas impacted by the maintenance department projects through written and verbal communication
- Work closely with the Maintenance staff, Operations Managers, Production, and Warehouse staff to coordinate maintenance schedules as well as other planned outages
- Updates/Creates any Work Orders as needed, updates actual job requirements and labor estimate with feedback from mechanics
- Supports Maintenance Management by providing analysis of information that contributes to project planning and reliability improvement initiatives
- Perform job walks to ensure complete understanding of requested work and project support
- Obtain vendor quotes and submit work authorizations
- Identify and partner with MRO Stores to order parts for non-repetitive work orders
- Lead cross-functional teams as needed to support the Maintenance Shutdown and the Planning Team
- Provide a central source of information concerning maintenance work, equipment, and equipment repair
- Coordinate with Maintenance staff and Technical writing to update and create PM and Calibration documents (SOP’s, FORMS, Checklists etc.) as needed
- Support the maintenance department in handling deviations within the Quality system
- Support with data gathering, organization, and verification using Excel
Your Profile
- Experience managing CMMS databases. SAP PM, Maximo or others
- Ability to analyze data to help improve reliability of the equipment
- Minimum of 2 years planning and scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook required
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Agile and quick learner, enjoys collaborative projects and continuous education
Preferred
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
