Your Responsibilities
This is a six-month, direct hire posting with full benefits, with the pontentital to become permanent. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will work closely with the Company’s hiring managers to ensure strategic staffing objectives are met by partnering with team members to assess staffing needs, implementing recruiting strategies, develop an ongoing and diverse pipeline of qualified candidates using research, networking and sourcing and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for all new hires.
Your Tasks
- Post and update job openings as needed to ensure qualified candidates are obtained both on external as well as internal sites
- Ensure removal of postings off of Company website and internal recruiting boards at all locations
- Review applications and candidate submissions from Company’s applicant tracking system, which may include an initial screen of resumes
- Participate in screening interviews, both in-person and via telephone
- Communicate to potential candidates in a positive and timely manner, maintaining brand image
- Follow up with hiring managers regarding potential candidates, schedule interviews and obtain feedback post interview
- Provide hiring managers with timely updates and status of recruitment efforts, as well as the Director of Human Resources
- Work closely with the Manager of Human Resources in our Torrance site for open positions at that location
- Keep detailed and up to date records of positions recruiting for
Your Profile
- BS degree in related disciplines
- Prior work experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical environment
- Minimum 2 years staffing/recruiting experience
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems
- Previous experience in web-based career sites such as: LinkedIn, really, Craigslist, Monster etc.
- Firm grasp on federal and state laws regarding employment practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
- Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues
- Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
- Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
Preferred
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now talent management
