POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding new employees, create and implement training programs while enforcing company policies and practices.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting and Onboarding:
* Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
* Attend local job fairs and partner with educational establishments to develop a strong ongoing candidate pool.
* Review resumes, conduct phone screening of potential candidates.
* Scheduling and participation in interviews with department managers.
* Obtain pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
* Facilitate new-hire on-boarding and orientations.
Training:
* Prepares a training budget, ensuring that goals are met while adhering to approved budget.
* Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention.
* Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
* Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange scheduling of training programs.
* Partner with Safety Inspector to coordinate safety training for staff
* Meet with Department Managers to facilitate coordination of various training programs for their staff
* Develop team building programs that meet the company needs
* Creates learning and development programs that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Employee Relations:
* Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
* Complete 30/60/90-day check-ins with new employees
* Maintains open communication with Executive Management Team regarding employee concerns
* Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to staff
* Partner with Department Managers/Supervisors regarding staff performance and annual reviews
* Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; proposes programs to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent.
* Administer Company’s random drug testing program
* Oversees employee disciplinary meetings and investigations.
* Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policies
Misc:
*Partner with the Compliance Manger on a variety of topics and projects
*Schedule and prepare agendas for the management meetings
*Continue development of the ADP HR Platform

* May occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
* Able to walk up and down a minimum of two flights of steps
