Job Description
BAE Systems Intelligence division is searching for a Discovery IT System Administrator to join us supporting the FBI Office of General Counsel (OGC), and Litigation Branch (LITB) in Washington, DC.
The expectation of the Discovery IT System Administrator shall provide the following services to include but not limited to: Contractor shall ensure the day-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools; administer and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools; monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with vendors and developers to implement fixes; maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies; assist technical architecture design discussions; liaise with vendors on behalf of OGC to address product issues; develop and provide training for the end-users; provide general support, subject matter expertise and advice on the use of electronic discovery tools and applications; reverse engineer and document the as-is architecture of existing legacy applications or systems; analyze capabilities, interview and collect business requirements and translate it into technical requirements; support the discovery application integration/migration activities; contribute to the Knowledge Management databases by creating and improving technical knowledge articles to assist in future resolution of issues.
Additionally, the contractor shall have legal technology experience and knowledge of the EDRM; assist in the implementation of e-discovery tools (Relativity, Veritas eDP, or other review platform applications) hosted in the cloud environment; skills, knowledge and abilities to support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management and configuration; the ability to install, operate, and manage Microsoft server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022; operate, and manage cloud technologies to include Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, VMware, Azure servers, Azure Functions, and Azure API Gateways and/or AWS EC2 servers, AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateways; operate and manage relational databases, MySQL and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
In order to be successful in this position must possess the following:
- Minimum of 5 years of general Tier-2 or higher Technical Support and User Support experience
- 3 years of previous experience working in a Tier-3 or higher technical specialist capacity providing enterprise level support
- 3 years of working with relational databases, MySQL and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher
- 3 years of Cloud Experience, review platforms, and cloud technologies
- Sufficient knowledge with networking, internet protocols, and email protocols; web applications (web server administration, html, etc.) and related infrastructure.
- Experience in helping customers understand the features and benefits the products and work systematically through hardware and software problems.
- Must possess excellent communication skills: verbal written, listening and reading.
- Experience with creating and maintaining Knowledge Management database.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with providing end-user support; troubleshooting issues and provide resolutions.
- Legal technology experience, Cloud experience and review platform experience (i.e., Relativity, Veritas eDP, or other eDiscovery platforms). Experience shall be in backend infrastructure support, data migrations, applications installations, and configurations. General administration experience working with Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022
- Experience with cloud technologies to include Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, VMware, Azure servers, Azure Functions, and Azure API Gateways and/or AWS EC2 servers, AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateways.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
