SCA Material Coordinator

Job Description
The Air Traffic Control (ATC) Division of BAE Systems is looking for a SCA Material Coordinator to help support various aspects of Supply Chain Management, including shipping, receiving, procurement, export, transportation, warehousing, data entry, etc. In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for driving box trucks and flatbed trucks between six locations to deliver material, operating a forklift and pallet jack, and performing warehouse transactions.

Duties for this position include physical exertion such as lifting (no more than 40lbs) stooping, standing, bending, squatting, reaching and climbing ladders. The selected candidate will be required to wear approved safety shoes at all times plus other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $29.05/hr.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.




Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in receiving, shipping, and inventorying warehoused material
MD Class B CDL license, current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Card), and at least 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle
Experience with MS Office applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Clean driving record
Ability to exert physical energy (lift no more than 40lbs)
Experience using small hand tools
Experience in forklift operation


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Understanding of a DD1149
Experience driving flatbed trucks or box trucks
Experience crating or uncrating large shipments
Warehouse experience in a DoD contractor environment

Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
