- What You'll Do/ A Day In The Life Typically Includes

- Training, Subject Matter Expert (SME), designs, develops, implements, and oversees business and organization mentoring programs.
- Identify the development needs for the management teams and create new initiatives or reform and improve existing programs.
- Directly present mentoring content to the leadership team.
- Identify goals and desired outcomes and establish assessment standards and benchmarks to evaluate the program's success.
- Manage the production of leadership manuals, guides, videos, and other supporting content.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and teams throughout the program development process including training Leaders.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for a values-based approach to leadership education and development within the company.
- Liaise with departments to manage and assign leadership mentoring programs.
- Make recommendations to the leadership and team member training agenda or curriculum, as necessary.
- Oversee and participate in the development of training materials.
- Serve as a thought leader, mentor and coach on continuous improvement tools.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and attention to detail.
- Support other teams with projects as directed.
- A problem solver and critical thinker dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Provide clear timelines through all phases.
- Liaise and build collaborative partnerships with our stakeholders to ensure high standards are met.
- Support process improvement and standardization across all processing departments.
- Support best practices sharing as guided by the Training Leaders.
- Supervise Admin positions within the CLS processing departments.
- The SME will help remove any unnecessary steps from workflow by helping source the information needed and help eliminate the risk of repeated tasks as a result of misinformation.
- The SME will help build out weekly forecasting plans for both the VAS and CLS departments with the guidance of the Operations Manager and assume responsibilities when Operations Manager is on PTO.
- Collaborate with supervisors within the warehouse facility and develop leadership training manuals for all departments.
- Conduct ongoing hip to hip training with CLS leads and Supervisors.
- Develop a weekly knowledge check during training for all new CLS leads and Supervisors.
- Oversee the input of downtime data for accurate tracking.
- Oversee the input of Incentive freeze for functional trainers within the CLS department.
- Responsible for supervising and monitoring workflow for assigned areas to meet company objectives and service requirements. Communicates with other departments and functional groups ensuring the accurate and timely processing of work. Coordinates handoffs from first to second shift, ensuring opportunities are addressed and communication is consistent.
- Communicates company and service center objectives, policies, programs, schedules ensuring they are understood by everyone needing such information to successfully carry out his or her responsibilities.
- Works with employees and People Operations to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, governmental laws and regulations.
- Ensures staffing levels are adjusted to meet business needs through the movement and training of existing staff and by hiring and training additional staff as required.
- Acts as a positive leader who coaches, counsels and develops employees, encouraging open communication and giving regular feedback. Administers disciplinary actions when required.
- Responsible for minimizing costs and expenses (i.e., labor, freight, supplies).
- Seeks to develop and make recommendations for process and departmental improvements.
- Creates and maintains employee records.
- Ensures a safe and effective working environment
- Supervisory Responsibilities
When CLS supervisor is not available, the SME will directly supervise department employees, and will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to conduct effective interviews.
- Software skills including but not limited to word processing and spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business reports and data such as technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, walk and use hands and fingers; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
