Our Specialty Tax, Credits & Incentives Practice is comprised of both local and national professionals, who specialize in helping clients identify potential cost savings benefits. Our team assists clients in a variety of industries to identify, document and sustain federal and state credits through a comprehensive understanding of our client’s business.

What you’ll do:
- Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue. Actively participate in request for proposals to pursue additional clients/services for the firm
- Participates with other service line leadership in strategic tax credits consulting services, market positioning and branding, strategy, and facilitate practice growth initiatives
- Operate within and effectively leverage Baker Tilly’s matrixed structure of industry, service and geography to develop and execute growth strategies and work in close coordination with regional and national leaders
- Represent Baker Tilly and develop relationships Nationally and, participate in relevant industry events and undertake speaking engagements
- Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs
- Support the growth and development of team members, helping associates meet their professional goals along with proactively supporting the recruitment efforts of future team members
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative, excellent team skills, and high ethical standards
- Represents the firm at key community events, firm functions, and other meetings
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or other related field required; Masters or advanced degree preferred
- CPA, EA, or JD Required
- Fifteen (15) years’ experience providing services related to tax and business credits consulting, experience with sustainability and employment related credits, a plus
- Proven success and knowledge in growing in the Northeast or Midwest market, and successful track record of building and growing a practice, including building a team, a client base and managing revenue
- A leader with a demonstrated ability to develop relationships and serve as a value architect
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the “big picture” as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
