Balanced Body is hiring!! We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist should have broad knowledge of human resources functions, such as compliance, leaves of absences, training & development, performance management, and workers compensation. Knowledge of workplace safety programs & safety policies, as well as education, compliance, and tracking. This position will report to the HR Manager on a wide range of projects. You will interact will all levels of management and employees to build a positive HR experience.
Ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field of work for this role will be divided into the following categories:

- Safety & Compliance (10%)

Areas of Responsibility:
- Training & Development – identify needs, create training programs, execute and deliver training, audit and track all certifications.
- Conduct Recruiting activities to include job description updates, resume review, inviting candidates for open interview, interview and track candidates in our applicant system.
- Benefits - participate in annual renewal, monthly enrollment and monthly billing.
- Collaborate and nurture new and old relationships with community partners.
- Maintain and coordinate a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other recruiting opportunities.
- Participate in onboarding and termination activities.
- Maintain and audit physical and electronic employment files.
- Partner on safety programs and policies.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Participate in responding to verification of employment and EDD claims.
- Participate in performance management activities.
- Partner on compensation analysis.
- Participate in monthly employee appreciation activities to include planning monthly events, annual summer picnic and annual holiday party.
- Partner in employee programs such as: bingo, shout outs and birthday announcements/cards.
- Perform other duties as required to meet company needs.
The following qualifications are needed to successfully meet the essential job function:
- Minimum of Seven (7) year experience in HR with (4) years in Technical Recruiting and prefer at least (2) years in Training and Development
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources is preferred;
- Prior experience developing and implementing training programs. High level of comfort delivering various training.
- Knowledge of US Labor Laws: FLSA, OSHA, FMLA. CA specific laws preferred.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Self-directed with the ability to keep up with a very fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent time-management and ability to prioritize changing tasks with a sense of urgency necessary to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Work Schedule
This position is onsite and full-time, Monday to Friday.
