Balanced Wellbeing, LLC is currently seeking a compassionate licensed PMHNP is to fill a position in our Lake City location. This is not a remote position we will need you to report to the Lake City office to handle in office visits.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages. Licensure: You’re a fully licensed, ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Florida. Please note, at this time we are unable to service mental health professionals that are not fully licensed. Your application will be rejected until you obtain a valid license.
DEA: You have a DEA number, or you’re open to acquiring one. If you need to obtain a DEA license, Balanced Wellbeing offers reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine diagnosis and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients with mental health disorders
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Proficient in specimen collection processing and behavioral health assessments
- Knowledge of tube feeding procedures and anatomy
- Experience with Botox injections for the treatment of certain mental health conditions
- Strong patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify signs of distress or crisis
- Familiarity with emergency room protocols and procedures
- Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) used in mental health treatment
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis and billing
