POSITION: Warehouse and Materials Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the activities and operations of the warehouse.
· Coordinates daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
· Assists departments working out of the warehouse starting their days.
· Ensures workspace is free of debris; removes safety hazards.
· Keeps warehouse premises (including bathrooms, storage areas, back lot) neat and clean.
· Runs errands as needed.
· Works as an active team member to complete team goals.
· Keeps tool cages under lock and key, making sure all tools are signed out and returned.
· Keeps materials in a neat and safe condition. Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
· Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
· Operates pallet jacks, forklifts, and company vehicles in a safe manner as needed.
· Ensure correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support other divisions.
· Establish and maintain a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.
· Manages the traffic in the buildings and lot to ensure a safe environment.
· Pulls materials needed for all departments working out of the warehouse in a timely manner.
· Assists in inclement weather clean up.
· Other duties as needed or requested by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High school education
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work well with other employees.
· Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, with team focus.
- Multi-tasker able to effectively prioritize work responsibilities and manage time.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have basic tool and material knowledge.
- Must be able to pull and back a trailer with no problem.
- Must be able to work without direction or supervision.
- Must be forklift certified.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· The ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds or more.
· Physically able to stand, sit move, squat, walk and climb for the duration of a workday.
· Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl in awkward positions.
· Must be at least 18 years old and physically able to perform work assigned.
· Ability to walk for extended periods of time and/or long distances.
· Ability to navigate through potential uneven walkways/terrain.
· Tolerant to extreme elements (heat, sun, wind, rain, snow, etc.).
· Good vision and depth perception (corrective lenses OK)
· Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
