Key Accounts Supervisor

Responsible for supervision of Ball Seed Key Account Team, including coordination of that group with our key customers. Responsibilities include supporting day to day activities along with strategic planning with customers, sales, and breeding companies. Manages the growth and development of team members to streamline business processes, drive sales and growth. As part of our supervisory team, train and develop new trainers and oversee their training activities. Help to design, test and train when improvements and new tool developments are implemented as part of our sales and customer facing system. Inspire and empower team members. Support our corporate initiatives and design initiatives to drive sales.
The Key Accounts Supervisor will bring dynamic leadership to team members with the goal of improving expected outcomes.
Leadership and team management:
· Hire, supervise and develop Ball Seed's Key Accounts Team with the goal of creating a highly skilled, cross-functional, empowered team.
· Partner with supply and customer service teams to understand the needs of support including customer notifications, order entry, reporting, claims.
· Build and encourage cohesion within team to expand skills, develop leadership, proactivity and efficiency in all tasks.
· Develop subject matter experts in critical areas. Identify and train personnel with the knowledge and skillset to become trainers. Assign training responsibilities and monitor quality and effectiveness of their work.
Staff Development:
· Coordinate any training needed for the team.
Work closely with Customer Relations Supervisors and Sales Management to assess personnel skills and design skill development programs, evaluate comprehension and enable personnel to move up skill levels.
· Set goals and provide 1 on 1 performance feedback and support.
As part of the supervisory team, revise sales and service systems and keep training materials current, ensuring employees up to date.
· Conduct performance reviews, determine compensation and other supervisory administrative responsibilities
Conduct annual review process and 1 on 1 quarterly feedback to determine if currently on track to meet individual goals.
System and Technical Leadership
· Lead responsibility in the design and testing of new tools and IT upgrades. Help with development of new IT sales and service tools and processes, and test effectiveness prior to implementation.
· Act as subject matter expert for various topics
Execute training of new sales professionals initially and as ongoing process to ensure they are efficient and effective in all order management, service and pricing activities.
· Develop and implement training of new IT sales and service tools and processes to Ball Seed. Make training fun and memorable by gearing it to various levels and skillsets.
Requirements
· 3-5 years supervisory experience
· High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
· Excellent supervision and personnel management skills.
· Excellent work ethic. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and continually reprioritize.
· Ability to build, evaluate, debate and advise business scenarios to prioritize opportunities.
· Strong problem solving skills, deep systems process knowledge and ability to diagnose and fix complicated systems issues to help achieve new business growth or process efficiency opportunities.
· Technical, accurate and comprehensive written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to work with and unite multiple counterparties with diverse objectives to achieve our business and development goals. Exceptional follow up, patience and professional persistence.
