What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef - Restaurant (seasonal) position at Bally's?
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and kitchen scales
- Study each recipe and order provisions to meet business demands and adhere to recipe standards
- Ensure food in a prepared in accordance with mandated ticket times
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff and ensure quality and completion of task
- Inform wait staff about daily specials
- Ensure food is prepared according to specifications for consistency and to drive revenue
- Train, assist, lead and supervise staff and assist as needed
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Conduct quarterly comparable studies of similar venues (food and costs)
