We specialize in providing high-quality ACT boot camps, college advising classes, and educational workshops for high school students. Our mission is to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed academically and pursue higher education opportunities.

Job Description:

As a Program Manager at College Prep Alabama, you will play a crucial role in guiding middle and high school students on the path to college. We are seeking a self-starter with a proven track record of supporting students in their academic journey. In this hybrid role, you design and execute programming with students in diverse academic environments, including ACT boot camps, college advising classes, and workshops. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to set and monitor progress toward goals independently, ensuring impactful contributions to our mission to support students pursuing higher education opportunities. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Direct Student Support (60%)

  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop engaging and effective curriculum materials for ACT boot camps, college advising classes, and workshops, tailored to the needs of high school students.

  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in various educational settings, fostering a positive and motivating learning environment.

  • Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.

Relationship-Building (20%)

  • Program Implementation: Develop and maintain strong relationships with school administrators and staff.

  • Support Director, Client Relations with monitoring fulfillment and adherence to contractual agreements with school partners.

  • Student Needs: In all settings, create strong relationships with students to better tailor instruction to their needs.

Program Planning and Operations (20%)

  • Boot Camp Planning: Plan and execute ACT boot camps, including scheduling, logistics, and resource management, to ensure the success of each program.

  • Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate records, track program outcomes, and assist with administrative tasks related to program implementation.

  • Work Independently: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative in addressing challenges and achieving program goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • At least one year of middle school or high school teaching experience

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students

  • Experience with standardized test preparation (ACT/SAT)

  • Strong curriculum planning and instructional design skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

Additional relevant experience (preferred, not required):

  • State teaching certification

  • Familiarity with college admissions process
