We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Services Program Manager to join our team at Bamrec (Bay Area Muslim Recreation Center), within a vibrant community. This individual will play a crucial role in coordinating, managing, and expanding our tutoring and coaching services for families.
Responsibilities:
Program Development and Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive tutoring and coaching program that aligns with Bamrec's mission and values.
- Create a structured curriculum and resources for tutors and coaches to ensure effective teaching and coaching methodologies.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tutoring and coaching program, including scheduling, lesson planning, and evaluation of program effectiveness.
- Continuously assess and improve program outcomes, identifying areas for growth and innovation.
Network Building and Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with coaches, tutors, and other professionals within the community.
- Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and educational institutions to identify potential partnerships and resources.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and networking events to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Coach and Tutor Retention:
- Provide ongoing support, training, and mentorship to coaches and tutors to enhance their skills and professional development.
- Implement strategies to ensure high retention rates of coaches and tutors within the program.
Family Engagement and Support:
- Collaborate with families to understand their specific needs and goals for tutoring and coaching services.
- Conduct regular check-ins and progress assessments to track the effectiveness of the program for individual families.
- Provide resources and guidance to parents to support their engagement in their child's learning journey.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Previous experience in program management, preferably in education or community-based organizations.
- Familiarity with tutoring and coaching methodologies, especially for students in preschool and middle school.
- Knowledge of the Muslim community and cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with the capability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
