Banesco USA is seeking a BI Analyst II for our Business Intelligence Unit.
Primary Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining bank reports, applications, and interfaces as well as streamline the business process.
- Performs complete and specific programming activities, creating solutions to enhance and support the business activities.
- Executes the administration, maintenance and management of the data and data storage environment.
- Ability to adhere to the design and coding standards of the bank to ensure the solution and environment integrity is meeting the business requirements.
- Assists with the support of systems to ensure applications operability and reliability is in place.
- Responsible for structuring tasks and manages their time effectively, prioritizing the pipeline of tasks to ensure work is meeting the established deadlines.
- Ability to document the functional requirements and the solution design and/or scope to ensure the business is in compliance with the needs.
- Responsible for analyzing problems outside the initiatives assigned and proposes solutions that produce improvement to the efficiency, process automation, and systematic enhancements.
- Responsible to support the business units with the following reports:
- Web based reports for standard and ad hoc analysis
- Dashboard development to support upper-level management
- Schedule and monitor report delivery daily
- Define and create new framework reporting business packages.
- Assist in the support and management of the development and reporting environments
- Participates in projects as assigned.
- Assist VP, BI Manager in other duties and projects as assigned.
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring other team members.
- Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
- Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other information system development fields is preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Four (4) years of experience in application and Web development, reporting and Database Administration.
- Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read, and write both languages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management, and prioritizing skills.
- Customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently with the ability to make decisions according to established guidelines and accomplish tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
- Ability to convey technical concepts and ideas to non-technical people.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to resolve problems and clearly identifies root cause and presents recommendations to management.
- Must have the following technical knowledge and experience:
- DB: SQL (client, and server), Oracle, AS400.
- Utilities and reporting tools: Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Cognos, DevExpress.
- Dashboarding tools: Qlik, Power BI
- Framework: ASP.NET Web Form, Microsoft Team Foundation Services
- Development languages: ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, PHP.
- Banking Core Systems: Jack Henry & Associates
- The following certifications are desired but not required:
- MCSD: Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer
- Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
