Loan Servicing Specialist

• Responsible for assisting customers, bank staff, government agencies and insurance agents in inquiries and/or research related to escrow disbursements, loan servicing and insurances.
• Responsible for assuring proper input of all types of insurances in the Jack Henry system, ensuring required fields are completed, including flood determination information.
• Responsible for preparing flood expiration notices within the time frame stipulated by regulations.
• Monitors all insurances via the tickler system and disburse funds for the payment of insurance premiums for the loans in escrow.
• Responsible for assuring real estate taxes are properly entered when new loans are booked in Jack Henry and the folio numbers with legal description are sent on a timely basis to CoreLogic for accurate tracking.
• Responsible for processing escrow disbursements and preparing the checks to pay agents and/or insurance companies.
• Assists in the reconciliation of the flood determination and tax service fee general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepares satisfaction, partial release and UCC on paid-off loans.
• Responsible to send letters to borrowers informing them of delinquency in taxes.
• Responsible for reviewing insurance and real estate tax tickler report on a weekly basis to ensure no lapse in coverage or delinquent taxes.
• Responsible preparing of insurance and real estate tax tickler reports from Cognos on a monthly basis.
• Responsible to perform escrow disbursements, escrow analysis as needed.
• Responsible for processing escrow analysis on an annual basis as needed.
• Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
• Responsible for preparing UCC-3 Continuations as needed.
• Responsible for preparing payoff and partial release letters.
• Backup for preparing the daily PLC reconciliation.
• Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the Banking industry, preferably in loan servicing/operations department.

• Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Knowledge of Participated and Syndicated Loans is required.
• Knowledge of Jack Henry is required.
• Knowledge of Cognos is highly preferred.
• Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
• Customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
• Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Problem solving and analytical skills in order to identify problems.
