What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist position at Banner Bank?
Perform multiple functions related to commercial loan servicing for non-complex loans. Maintain proper loan records, perform GL balancing, and ensure servicing requests are processed accurately, in accordance to internal guidelines, and within established service level standards.
As a Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:
- Prepare collateral releases for commercial and commercial real estate loan portfolio. Monitor and process paid loan reports in accordance to established controls prior to releasing liens or collateral instruments. Provide support to business lines by researching and resolving loan related issues or customer submitted requests.
- Responsible for communicating with business lines regarding post-booking loan system matters, imaging, payoff requests, reconveyances, or loan maintenance inquiry related issues.
- Monitor and maintain the loan collateral tickler system for pending commercial and commercial real estate loan collateral perfection items.
- Responsible for processing UCC Reports to ensure lien filings are continued, amended, or terminated (as required) in a timely manner to ensure the Bank’s lien position is maintained during the life of the loan. Monitor, review, and submit CoreLogic Tax Reports to business lines for further processing.
- Monitor and process the Bank’s established requirements for insurance. Perform reviews on flood and hazard insurance certificates and policies prior to closing and upcoming expirations to ensure accurate coverage that complies with internal bank policy, as well as state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 or more years of experience in commercial loan documents, experience in commercial real estate loan documents preferred
- Possess a working knowledge of the administration, scanning, and indexing of collateral documents into the OnBase imaging system. Thorough knowledge service level agreements and the proper loan documents required for imaging.
- Possess good organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with frequent changes in priorities and an emphasis on customer service and teamwork.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to loan servicing.
