Summary: Responsible for assisting in the facilitation of customer service and risk management matters under the overdraft program, including the collection of all overdraft accounts. Assist in the coordination of overdraft payments with Banking Center Managers. Assist with other areas of deposit operations as needed.
Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Produce all correspondence and make necessary phone contacts relating to overdrawn accounts according to defined guidelines.
- Mark NSF list according to defined guidelines and loan policy.
- Complete file maintenance request for OD related product within the Core System.
- Coordinate the overdraft repayment process with the customer.
- Notify authorized banking center personnel of accounts at risk to be closed.
- Report closed accounts to Chex Systems or other reporting agencies.
- Enroll accounts for third party vendor to collect returned deposited items.
- Assist Deposit Operations Manager in preparing end of month, end of year, standard and special reports.
- Mark DDA, SAV and SDB Unpostable debits and credits for re-entry on accounts or for return through the system.
- Verify check signatures on dormant accounts as required.
- Prepare On-Us returned checks for remittance to correspondent banks.
- Process high dollar endorsements and large dollar notifications.
- Assist customers with bookkeeping questions as required.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years’ banking experience.
- Knowledge of the principal points of deposit functions required.
