What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHSO Pharmacy Tech position at Baptist Health (AR)?

Working Hours: Mon - Friday 8am to 5pm
Summary: Population health pharmacy technicians will practice centrally within the Baptist Health Population Health Services Organization (PHSO) to support primary care clinics. The primary responsibility of this technician is to provide support to team pharmacists, patients, clinicians, and the care management team to ensure effective, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy in a population health model. The technician role consists of data entry, obtaining medication histories directly from patients and scheduling visits with a pharmacist as warranted. The technician will also help support the pharmacist to implement the patients care plan, such as ensuring medication adherence, navigating insurance benefits, and assisting with provider communication. This position will require a patient-centered mindset, excellent problem solving and communication skills, who can thrive in an autonomous and evolving environment.
Other information: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Active Pharmacy Technician Permit with AR State Board of Pharmacy (in good standing) Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician, two years experience preferred Preferred: Experience in a variety of pharmacy settings including retail Working knowledge of pharmacy benefits Excellent customer service background Computer skills including keyboarding and basic knowledge of spreadsheets The ability to work independently as well as with a team.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
