About the Role
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse you will inspire happiness in the community through excellence in customer service while coordinating resident care management and staff direction.
What You'll Do
As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
- Insure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.
- Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans; make rounds with physicians and accurately and timely record visits on charts.
- Assist in maintaining current health care plans according to a schedule rotation and documenting acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
- Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents, specifying break times and special duties to be completed.
- Supervise (or personally handle) the preparation and administration of prescribed medications accurately.
- Order all new medications and refills; give initial dose of all new medications and chart it timely and accurately.
- Direct charting on his/her shift and makes detailed evaluation of all resident charting in accordance with facility policy, regulatory guidelines and resident status.
- Recognize significant changes in the condition of the resident and takes necessary action as directed by Director of Nursing.
- Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake; report persistent unresolved problems to the physician and/or the Director of Nursing or appropriate discipline.
- Professionally communicate with resident families and respond to questions or concerns.
- Accurately and timely complete focused assessments and appropriate discharge documentation.
- Intervene in resident disputes or disruptive behavior, if necessary, to maintain proper facility harmony and resident safety.
- Accurately and timely complete documentation.
- Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.
What You'll Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing license. Must complete and/or meet training, certification required by BMM/Buckner and the State of Texas.

Salary : $41,400 - $52,400
