Baratz & Associates, P.A. (B&A) is an accounting firm with offices in Marlton, NJ and Fort Washington, PA. Due to growth, our current opportunity is for an Accounting Administrative Assistant in our Fort Washington PA office.  We provide our clients with reliable and accurate tax consulting, audit and accounting services, estate planning and business succession planning. The responsibilities as an Accounting Administrative Assistant will include, but are not limited to:

  • Typing, formatting, editing and reviewing financial statement documentation
  • Document management: scan and maintain client databases
  • Collation and binding of client materials
  • Compiling and monitoring memos and correspondence while prioritizing critical information
  • Preparing internal and external correspondence
  • Answering telephones, responding to routine client requests and directing calls appropriately
  • Assisting with various other administrative assignments as they arise including mailings, faxing, filing, copying and calendar management
  • Assisting the administrative team with daily workflow
  • Taking initiative to improve team, office and firm processes
  • Accounts payable/vendor management on occasion
  • Accounts receivable/billing support for clients
  • Assisting Administrative Director with tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
  • CPA or professional services firm experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail, proofreading and problem-solving skills
  • Overtime hours and flexible hours may be required during busy season (January through April including Saturdays depending on workflow) 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, manage interruptions and shift priorities with ease
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Energetic team-player with a positive attitude
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Experience using Ultra Tax software is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
