As a Barclays Vice President Human Resources Business Manager – Global Investment Banking, you will partner with the Head of HR for Global Investment Banking to plan and deliver against People strategy. For this role, you’ll be accountable, in partnership with other HR Transaction Cycles, for the delivery of strategic and cyclical people related projects and supplementary reporting of people data to the business. Barclays’ HR Business Partnering's service offerings use best in class products to support the delivery of business strategies.

Salary/ Rate Minimum: $130,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum: $250,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information about include only base salary or base hourly rate.   It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter.

However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing?

•    Aiding in shaping and operationalizing key strategic HR activity including short to long term planning within and across the team
•    Producing Head of HR deliverables including Investment Banking Management Team and CIB Management Team papers
•    Delivering to a high standard of accuracy and precision as well as appropriate positioning for the audience
•    Working with other HR TCs on production of materials for Head of HR to present to senior business stakeholders/forums
•    Driving and facilitating decision making by the Head of HR through planned and unplanned activity – move seamlessly from strategic thinking to managing tactical issues
•    Supporting cross business projects as required, such as talent and Future Ways of Working 
•    Assisting the Head of HR on ad-hoc strategic deliverables such as assessing problem statements, developing a recommendation, socialising plan, and executing delivery
•    Managing HRBP team governance such as team meetings, communications, deadline management 

What we’re looking for:

•    Previous HRBP or relevant HR experience within a large, matrixed organisation, preferably within Financial Services
•    Excellent personal credibility with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior managers to influence decision making and experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders
•    Able to deliver through others at scale and within a fast paced and highly matrixed organisational construct
•    Strategic thinker to anticipate needs and balance big picture with attention to detail with good written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Experience providing high quality service to Front Office Investment Banking teams
•    Motivated self-starter to manage high volumes of work while delivering consistency accurate and high-quality output
•    Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making decisions

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
