As a Barclays SecDevOps Engineer this is an exciting opportunity where you'll be building reliable & scalable authentication and authorization, cloud security, & secrets management systems. You'll bring a technical background, hands-on experience in developing critical system infrastructure & solid knowledge of secure development moralities. Have problem-solving abilities, a broad range of skills in overlapping technical areas, collaboration experience, and skills of Enterprise/Risk frameworks, as well as the ability to innovate when needed.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. What will you be doing?

* Helping bridge the gap between the customer / business stakeholders and teams with a technical focus
* Refining technical specifications to ensure the quality of project deliverables into production and provide a positive customer experience
* Maintaining product backlog and refining stories, and ensuring backlog items are ready for development
* Defining the acceptance criteria and ensuring that developed features meet the definition of done
* Working closely with the delivery teams to solve problems and facilitate resolution in a timely, cost-effective manner and drive continuous improvement
* Planning, coordinating and facilitating key requirements workshops with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams
* Working as a liaison among project stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate features for new functionality
* Defining the product strategy for DevSecOps products, including drawing on Barclay's technology roadmap, user feedback and emerging industry trends and best practice

What we're looking for:

* Expertise level programming in GoLang
* Practical knowledge of automated testing tools e.g., Selenium etc.
* In-depth knowledge of PKI/SSL/TLS, encryption, design patterns and algorithms
* Knowledge Authentication and Authorization Protocols: JWT/OAUTH2

Skills that will help you in the role:

* Knowledge of relational and Document databases (MySql/Postgres, Mongo, etc)
* Hands-on experience with microservice architecture
* Hasicorp Vault, Hashicorp Consul and Nomad
* Build systems, CI/CD (Jenkins, TC), version control: git, Kubernetes/OpenShift
