As a Barclays Vice President - Legal Inventory Management, you will be embedding a new LRR Risk governance and control framework within Barclays’ U.S. Legal function and developing and maintaining an inventory of U.S. LRRs applicable to Barclays. Your team will be accountable for developing and embedding new roles and duties for Barclays lawyers across the globe in relation to LRR Risk. This activity will help Barclays ensure that it complies with all applicable U.S. LRRs.

What will you be doing?
• Working collaboratively with the first and second lines of defense, on the sustainable implementation of new roles relating to LRR Risk
• Supporting the management of the US LRR Inventory: the cross-functional teams, on the development and maintenance of a U.S. LRR inventory
• Researching and analyzing new U.S. LRRs to be published to assess their impacts on the firm’s products, services, and businesses
• Analyzing on the completeness and accuracy of the U.S. LRR Inventory, and providing written summaries of detailed “obligations” of U.S. LRRs
• Advising on the operation of Legal global procedures relating to LRR Risk; monitoring the effective operation; identifying ways for continuous improvement
• Managing any related local procedures and ensuring compliance with data governance requirements, along with periodic reviews and quality control activity
• Assisting with the preparation of appropriate MI to be provided to the Americas General Counsel and the US Regulatory subcommittee
• Collaborating with U.S. lawyers to enhance the consistency of LRR interpretation and assisting U.S. lawyers on remediation activity relating to LRR Risks
What we’re looking for:
• Attorney qualified in the U.S., with over five years of experience working in a top law firm and/or in-house with a top financial services organization
• Proven technical expertise in U.S. financial markets and regulation with the ability to work across a broad set of products and distribution capabilities
• A solid background in the creation of and curiosity for enhancing Legal controls and procedures
• Ability to assimilate information quickly while contributes to the development and implementation of team objectives and strategy
