Monitors video EEG patients and identifies seizure activities. Perform neurophysiologic tests including EEGs and video-EEG initiation for adult and pediatric patients. Qualifications:
Required:
- HS Diploma
- BLS certification required
- EEG Board registration
Preferred:
- Certified in Video Monitoring preferred
- Knowledge of neurodiagnostic tests preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Nights
- PD
Essential Functions:
- The EEG Technician is responsible for performing EEG tests when requested by a physician.
- As part of the testing process, an EEG Technician will gather a patient's medical history, explain testing procedures, and prepare the patient for the procedure.
- During testing, the EEG Technician monitors the patient's status and notes any abnormalities.
- After testing is complete, the EEG Technician reports their findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis.
