Job description
Position: Restoration Technician (Full Time)
Type of Position: Technician, full time, hourly.
Position Description: Restoration/Cleaning technicians complete daily tasks involving the following areas:
Water Damage Restoration:Restoration technicians will complete duties related to water damage restoration including but not limited to: extraction of water, setting up drying equipment, and removing wet materials/debris.
Fire Damage Restoration: Restoration technicians will complete duties related to fire damage restoration including but not limited to: Cleaning soot and smoke damaged materials and structures, packing out damaged contents, inventorying damaged contents, cleaning damaged contents, deodorizing contents and structures, and removing debris from fire damage.
Mold Remediation: Restoration technicians will complete duties related to mold remediation including but not limited to: Putting on protective equipment, setting up containments, removing mold affected materials, cleaning affected surfaces, sealing affected surfaces, and setting up air scrubbing equipment.
Restoration Janitorial: Restoration technicians will complete duties related to janitorial cleaning including but not limited to: Cleaning walls, floors, windows, bathrooms, and fixtures. Technicians may also have to perform cleaning tasks related to the aftermath of trauma incidents including cleaning up bodily fluids and disposal of hazardous waste.
Containment: Restoration technicians will complete duties related to containment construction including but not limited to: Setting up containments in hospital environments, setting up negative air machines to maintain containment pressures, and taping and sealing HVAC systems and doorways.
Compensation: This position begins at $15.00 per hour, but may be higher based on experience. Benefits including health, vision, dental, and life insurance available after 60 days of employment. 401K retirement plan eligibility after one year of employment.
Hours: Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ( 24 hour on-call weekly rotation)
Requirements: Applicants for this position are required to have a valid drivers license, must be able to work on ladders and in lift equipment over 8 ft., must be able to work an on-call schedule for after hours emergencies, must be able to lift in excess of 30 pounds, and must be able to work in different environmental conditions such as heat, cold and heavy soils.
