As the Kitchen Manager and BOH leader, you will help bring the mission and core values of BearX Daycation Resort to life. Bring the Vision to Life
- Work closely with CEO and leadership across the organization to understand and operationalize vision for food services.
- The ability to put on your chef hat to pioneer and collaborate with the CEO on new ideas or food concepts at the venue.
- Executing and creating systems that give our guests quality and timely delivery of their food.
Relentlessly Serve Guests and Team
- Keep up with BOH process improvements and documentation to ensure we passionately onboard employees Transform them from employee to raving fans.
- Continuously coach and train your team on BOH operations onboarding is just the beginning!
- Intentionally establish a contagious environment of good vibes that will aid in the advancement of guest and team experience in the work environment.
- Committing to the integrity of the smallest details without cutting corners; daily choosing to push yourself beyond your limits.
- Consistently taking every opportunity with yourself and the team to reflect on wins and losses, and how to transfer that wisdom into service excellence for the BOH team.
- Build a contagious team culture: recruiting, training, terminating, tactfully navigate conflict, generously encourage and discipline your team and provide accountability.
- Work with the CEO and leadership to ensure satisfaction and resolution for all customer complaints and concerns about their food.
- Create effective opening and closing checklists, kitchen procedures and training materials to train and develop your team to execute at their highest potential.
- Create effective team schedules and quickly resolve conflicts to protect service integrity.
Crush Daily Operations with Excellence
- Manage Kitchen financial responsibilities around food services by diligently tracking food cost, waste, and BOH labor to optimize profit and create the best dining experience possible for guests.
- Maintain an immaculate kitchen by designing and enforcing proper opening and closing systems
- Proactively manage food supply inventory to minimizing product waste and hit target margins.
- Set goals for the team and work to meet them regarding staff, operations, food quality, kitchen timeliness and guest satisfaction.
You have:
- High School Diploma
- 5 years of foodservice or culinary experience.
- 3 years of restaurant management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of and accountability to exceed Brazos County Health Department cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Experience overseeing necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances.
- A high degree of attention to details.
- Strategic thinking capacity - diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.
- Ability and willingness to work 50 hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
- Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced environment.
