What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Aide position at Barton House?
Barton House is looking for both full and part-time Resident Aides to work our 7am-3pm shift.
A great candidate works well independently and as a team, has a passion to care for residents, and wants to make a difference in people’s lives. We have an excellent resident to aide ratio with support staff so our employees can focus on quality care. Duties include assisting residents with activities of daily living, and light cleaning. Must be 18 and able to pass a background check and drug screening -no dog or cat allergies.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with bathing & grooming
- Provide mobility assistance with transfers to and from activities
- Documenting on residents' progress & hourly safety rounds
- Assisting residents during mealtimes
The Resident Aide is responsible for providing professional, compassionate, and quality care for all residents.

Barton House is exclusively designed and operated to serve the needs of individuals who are challenged with memory impairments, including Alzheimer's. Our mission is to provide an environment that respects and honors the personal dignity of our residents. We recognize and address the unique struggles of daily living with Alzheimer's or other related dementias. We are licensed as a Personal Care Facility, with a Kentucky state certification in dementia care.
