The North America Industrial Coatings team, within the Global Resins & Additives business, is responsible for the development and supply of resins to coatings formulators through collaboration with global key accounts, regional customers, and distribution partners. Target applications for our resins include automotive, protective & maintenance, furniture, flooring, and floorcare industry segments.

We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for the commercial marketing for industrial resins. You will represent North America as part of a global team working to develop and execute innovation pipelines, product launches, portfolio optimization, regional pricing, and digital marketing campaigns. You will serve as the market segment lead to coordinate and steer a diverse, cross-functional team of sales, technical, R&D, and product stewardship colleagues to execute on profitability targets and ensure BASF as the leading supplier of industrial resins. Formula for Success

    As a strategic thinker and excellent collaborator, you will represent North America on the Global Steering Committee for Substrates. Utilizing your regional market knowledge gained through customer workshops, market research, and external expert interviews, you will advocate for North America innovation needs as you support the evaluation and prioritization of global R&D projects.

    Drawing on your strong project management skills and prioritization skills, you will be the regional project and launch manager for all North America innovation projects. You will drive end-to-end results including the development of robust business cases, go-to-market strategies, and promotional campaigns.

    With your analytical skills and strong business acumen, you will drive the portfolio optimization to ensure we have a winning portfolio for profitability and differentiation. Your customer focus combined with market knowledge will allow you to develop robust sales tool kits that will enable our sales team to drive high-impact conversations with customers about our product portfolio and offerings.

    Using your digital savviness and creativity, you will provide leadership to the organization to establish a more robust digital leads generation and sales cycle. You will develop the framework and processes to generate and translate digital content and data into business insights and actions.

    Channeling your passion for sustainability, you will develop a sustainability roadmap for industrial coatings. You will tackle major challenges such as the development and promotion of a bio-based portfolio, enablement of Scope 3 emissions calculations, and overall CO2 footprint reductions.

    Utilizing your curiosity and entrepreneurial drive, you will compile and distill critical trends in the market, uncover and evaluate new market applications, and triangulate critical market intelligence that will steer and drive data-based decision-making.

    Your robust communication skills and interpersonal skills will be essential as you lead customer conversations around innovation and market trends both at the customer site and at industry trade shows. Your appreciation for diversity and inclusion will enable you to adapt and drive results with a diverse set of global and functional colleagues.
