EH&S Specialist - Environmental Health Freeport, TX
You will support, facilitate, and implement environmental programs designed to assure compliance with corporate, federal, state and local regulatory requirements. You will have expertise in environmental management in all media – air, water, waste. This position reports to the EHS Team Leader in Freeport Texas. Responsibilities- Leveraging your educational and/or professional background, you will provide technical and regulatory expertise to ensure environmental compliance of air, water, and waste programs associated with federal, state, and local permits as well as company requirements at the Freeport site. Including audits, reporting, and permitting. (e.g. Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) support the Management of Change (MoC) process conduct incident or accident investigations Act as site coordinator for Risk Management Planning (RMP) and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) programs.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Qualifications -
- Willing/able to travel up to 10% Willing/able to serve as on-call environmental liaison on a rotating basis. Professional certification(s) in environmental safety or environmental practices is highly desirable Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, accept responsibility and follow through without close supervision combined with self-starter and initiative Ability to interact with state and federal regulatory agencies.
